Context

Context

Mastercard planned on releasing their new Music Identity sound at the Dubai Jazz Festival, and wanted to created some visuals to go along with it. They would play behind the bands on the main stage, timed to an epic light show. 

Our friends over at DEPT came to us with a mission: “Develop the illustrative branding for the logistics giant DB Schenker's new shipping platform, Connect 4.0.” 

They wanted it to feel more friendly and approachable than what they had before, while still staying clean and professional.

The challenge

We were challenged to match the art direction and style of the projection to the branded Mastercard Sonic ID that was being revelaed. We made sure to stick closely to the brand guide lines and colors, as this new Sonic ID sound was going to be an integral part of their future branding.  

When developing an overall concept for the video, we wanted to stay away from going into detail about features and technicalities that would bore the audience and not spark the right emotions.

Instead, our main objective was to convey how easy and efficient the new Connect 4.0 platform is. After all, the slogan is "Click, Ship, Done."

Solutuion

The video was projected at the Dubai Jazz Festival, unveiling the new Sonic ID, which is now integrated across all Mastercard Branding. 

We created one video together with multiple key visuals for both the website and various social media channels, all with an undivided focus on communicating simplicity. The film was carefully crafted to attract and sustain the viewer’s attention from the very first second until the the last.
