‘Light On Your Path’ is a short winter film we created to celebrate a year in the Kingdom. Subtle 3D elements are woven throughout, adding depth and detail to the story—some hidden in plain sight.
The Challenge
For Light On Your Path, we set out to create a film that felt grounded yet magical. The goal was to design a 3D world that supported the story—rich in detail, but subtle and emotionally resonant.
The Solution
Using Cinema 4D and After Effects, we built custom assets—lanterns, roads, winter skies—each crafted to feel timeless and alive. A muted color palette with warm highlights gave the film its reflective tone.
To bring the world to life, we focused on subtle, intentional movement. Each animated element—from the flicker of a gem to the soft drift of snow—was designed to enhance the atmosphere without overpowering it. Using carefully placed camera movement and lighting passes, we aimed to create a sense of calm and quiet wonder, staying true to the reflective tone of the film.
Much of the animation was brought to life in Cinema 4D, where we broke down scenes into their components: camera paths, lighting passes, particle systems, and object rigs. We explored soft body dynamics for subtle interactions and used layered render passes to dial in the final atmosphere.
The assets—gems, books, winding roads, and skies—were built from scratch to feel timeless and a little surreal. We layered in texture and motion to give the world life, using a rich, saturated palette of warm ambers, deep navy, and bright winter purples to evoke comfort and quiet wonder.
